How does Buzmi work?
When someone buzzes your apartment, the call goes to your Buzmi number instead of your phone. Buzmi answers automatically and unlocks the door, or prompts for a PIN if you've set one up.
Will it work with my building?
If your building's intercom can dial a phone number, Buzmi works. Most condo and apartment intercoms do.
What if my buzzer only accepts local numbers?
That's exactly what Buzmi solves. We give you a local number in your city's area code.
My building has multiple entrances. Can Buzmi handle that?
Yes! If your building has a lobby buzzer and a parking garage gate that need different unlock codes, you can configure each entrance separately. Buzmi identifies which entrance is calling and sends the correct unlock code.
How secure is Buzmi?
You're in complete control. Auto-unlock can be turned off entirely, requiring a PIN for every entry. Guest PINs can expire after a set date or number of uses, perfect for cleaners or one-time visitors. Set schedules so the door only auto-unlocks during specific hours. Every buzz attempt is logged for 14 days so you can review who came and when. If you have multiple entrances, each one can have its own unlock code and rules.
How much does it cost?
$4.99/month after a 14-day free trial. Early access pricing, locked in forever.
How do I set it up?
Sign up to get your Buzmi number, then ask your building management to forward your buzzer to it. Most buildings can do this in a few minutes.
Can I give guests a PIN code?
Yes. You can create PIN codes for guests. When someone buzzes, they'll be prompted to enter the code to unlock the door.
What happens if I cancel?
Your Buzmi number will be released and your buzzer will stop working through Buzmi. You can ask your building to revert to your personal number.
Is there an iOS or Android app?
No, and that's by design. Buzmi is meant to work seamlessly in the background so you never have to think about it. Set it up once, and forget it exists.
